[Properties] white or white like crystalline powder, odorless; when meets the light, its color will turn deeper; may soluble in alkali hydroxid and dimethyl formamide, slightly soluble in ethyl alcohol, almost slightly soluble in water and chloroform. Melting point: 198-204℃
[Pharmacological action] This product does not absorb effectively by takes orally, it may slowly decompose out the sulfathiazole in the large intestine. Only 5% will be absorbed by the large intestine. Its antibacterial action in the large intestine is better than the SG and surpasses the SST for 2-4 times.
[Indications] Used for gastrointestinal tract bacterial infection, bacillary dysentery and bacterial canker enteritis. Used to prevent the infection after the intestinal tract operation as well.
